We have been so lucky to have witnessed one of the greatest players ever to have worm the sky blue shirt. El Mago -the magician has been one of the most creative mid-fielders ever to have played in the football league let alone City.His positional play, passing accuracy and ability to beat defenders are of the highest level. OK so he did not score 30 goals per season but he certainly made many for his colleagues. Probably he has more assists than anybody in the Premier League!
He certainly has never been sent off for Manchester City but has collected the odd yellow!
He won his 100th cap for Spain at the 2016 Euros and has made more Premier League games for City than any other City player. What a wonderful signing Mancini made in 2010 when Silva joined City from Valencia for £24 million. He had just helped Spain win the World Cup beating Holland so his first season was tough. What a shame his final moments with City were in the shambolic loss to Lyon in the quarter final of the Champions League.
