Fernandinho signed for city in June 2013 and became an excellent mid-fielder and in recent games a stand- in defender due to City injury problems. 37 years old he has played a great deal for Brazil - over 50 games and 264 for City. He was club captain for City and will be sadly missed as his hard work in midfield led to City winning 5 Premier League trophies and 6 League Cups. He was the last of the supremos that Pep had inherited on his arrival - Kompany, Aguero and David Silva being the others. He will be missed too for his work behind the scenes.
