A very special win for City taking them that little bit nearer to Liverpool. It was an excellent game and City were easily the better side against second placed Leicester City. City were at their best with De Bruyne and Mahrez the days stars. City have now won 250 Premier League games in the last 10 years. It was not the best of starts for City as the ever dangerous Vardy outpaced Fernandinho and chipped the ball over Ederson to give the visitors a surprise lead. However Mahrez playing against his old club managed to fire one past Kasper Schmeichel via a deflection to equal the scores and then Sterling was brought down in the penalty area just before half time. Apparently since his debut in the Premier League Sterling has won more penalties - 17 - than anyone! Gundogan scored from the spot and City were ahead at the break. Kevin then set Jesus up for the third. De Bruyne was at his best some of his passing being amazing. Mahrez too had one of his best games for City cracking in 10 shots. It was interesting to see Benardo Silva playing more in mid-field than normal and he did quite well. Mendy too has improved and had one of his better games. Ederson did not have much to do but we do have to watch out for counter attacks we get.
