A
mixed day with a variety of temples to see. A morning drive to Phnom Bakheng with
a few grab shots from the minibus . Phnom Bakheng is usually a favorite for tourist
at sunset time because of its high position. For our visit there were few visitors.

Our
guide Fin keeps a watchful eye as we climb the steep steps at Phnom Bakheng
A

A
distant view of the profile of Angkor Wat
As
we traveled in our minibus towards Preah Khan one saw a variety of types of transport
but surely the most exotic must have been the elephant with the added joy of being
able to look down on everybody from a great height!
Walking
past the boundary stones on the western approach I noticed some activity in the
undergrowth so I was diverted for a short time taking some close-ups with the
Sigma 18-200mm in its macro mode
A
break for lunch and then a walk through the forest - over the French Dam to Ta
Nei. A chance to see ants, spiders, termites and Tarantula nests- he nipped back
in before I could take his picture - spoilsport!
We
then moved onto Ta Keo before a visit to Pre Rup for a sunset sequence over the
jungle. Although we were ina good high position on the higher level of the temple
for the sunset the view was pretty ordinary.
