After failing to win a permit in the early morning draw for the 'Wave' I returned to the Toadstool area to find the white rock formations. On my way back to the car I took a wrong turning and discovered a 8 foot drop-off infront of me. I put the D300 down for a moment on the gaget bag. Alas it slipped off and ooops down it went - out of reach! There was no easy way to access it other than to jump down so down I went injuring my foot in the process! It took me a good 20 minutes to get out as the rock face was steep all around and there was an even deeper drop-off ahead! Fortunately the D300 was OK despite its surprise meeting with the hard rock!
Managed to recover sufficiently to spend an hour or so enjoying the wonders of Lower Antelope Canyon.
