Early morning at White Sands for a few dawn pics. I managed a time lapse and stayed for an hour before the light became too flat.
Then called at the New Mexico Museum of Space History just outside Alamogordo. With a long drive ahead I didn't go in - just took some images outside for half an hour.
A drive of some 170 miles via highways 54 and 38 and 60 to the National Radio Astronomy Observatory VLA Telescope Centre between Datil and Magdelena. It was used in the 1997 film 'Contact'. Alas the weather changed and I had my first burst of rain on the trip. I did manage several time lapses (hurrah-clouds!) and some pics before a dash to Albuquerque and my motel.
