Autumn
at Westonbirt
A
popular venue for photographers in the Autumn is the Arboretum at Westonbirt just
south of Tetbury in Gloucestershire. Over the years I must have visited this location
many times but this was the first time I was travelling light with a digital camera.
I ended up with 275 images filling a 512, a 256 and 2 x 128 cards. The Lithium
battery almost lasted the day. Saving the day was the
Dual-Force Pro power pack which I often use with the Dimage
7. I found that it worked well with the Dimage A1. It plugs into the mains socket
and it was used for the final 128 card which I shared with the Dimage 7 to shoot
some infra red images. I used the Reynox 1.54 converter on quite a few occasions
to isolate leaves and also the macro setting at the 28mm focal length to good
effect. The weather was generally good with sunshine for a few ours before clouds
appeared . ASA was set at 200asa and manual exposure used.
