Having experienced many sporting events I did not know quite what to expect and I must say I was seriously impressed by everything at Wimbledon. From the attitude of the stewards, gatekeepers to the professionalism of the ball boys on court the standard was first class in every way. It was a tiring but enjoyable day. Armed with both the Nikon D300 and Casio F1 I hoped that the weather would enable me to capture the day in a good light. As it happened the Wimbledon lottery draw ticket for Number 1 Court (thanks Ashley) was for the second Thursday when there would be doubles due to be played but I had a cunning plan! On the previous day I had spent some time doing a 'Rain Dance' ( learnt from a Navaho Indian near Antelope Canyon in Utah some years previously). It worked and one of the men's quarter finals from the Wednesday was rained off and was due to be rescheduled for a one o'clock next day. What a result! The downside is that it has rained most days since! Wish I could remember the sun dance !
