I added the figures which were taken from a similarly lit street scene in Agra.
Benares
or Varanasi as it is now known is an incredible place.I visited it in 1980 and
arrived at dawn by boat on the Ganges. The warm early light gives a glow to
the Lingams which dominate the ghats - the steps that lead down to the sacred
river.
